Myofascial decompression, also known as cupping, is a technique that provides tissue decompression in order to increase soft tissue and joint mobility, decrease pain, improve tightness, facilitate strengthening, inhibit unwanted movement patterns, and increase glide and fluid mobility between the different layers of skin, muscle, fascia, and nerve tissue.
The lymphatic system is a vital part of our immune system, circulating detoxifying lymph fluid & helping the body clear inflammation and get rid of cellular waste. In individuals with injuries, illness, pregnancy, chronic pain, post-surgical, and autoimmune conditions, lymph flow often becomes compromised or sluggish.
"Manual lymphatic drainage" is a technique that stimulates lymph flow and enhances the body's ability to heal and clear inflammation and waste.
MLD treatment is a specialized gentle massage that stimulates lymphatic vessels and points throughout the body.
Please note, the method of MLD practiced does not include tools like wooden paddles or brushes.

Pilates is an incredible type of training that goes hand in hand with PT. Pilates aims to build full body strength, focusing on core, shoulder, and hip training, to enhance stability in all types and planes of movement throughout the body. Pilates is extremely complimentary to all other types of exercises, including running, cycling, weight lifting, & more.
Mat and reformer Pilates are offered both as part of PT rehab & as private lessons.
Pain modulation training to target chronic pain and improve physical function using a variety of non-pharmacological approaches, such as pain education, tissue desensitization, visualization and imagery, laterality training, manual therapy, progressive exercise, neuromuscular re-education, breathing techniques, and more.
We offer online physical therapy evaluation and follow up treatment services for patients who prefer the convenience of telehealth, or for those who live outside of NYC.
