About Me
Dr. Danielle Weis, PT, DPT, OCS
Hi! My name is Danielle and I am a NY and NJ state licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy.
I received my clinical doctorate (DPT) from Columbia University and my BA in biology from Yeshiva University. I earned ABPTS board certification and became an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) in 2018. I hold certification as a Pose Method Certified Running Technique Specialist and am also a NYRR Running Coach! After 10 years of practice I still LOVE being a physical therapist and truly enjoy all aspects of my work!
I am currently providing in clinic visits at our main PT office in Brooklyn Heights, as well in our Crown Heights, Brooklyn gym. I also work with Brooklyn and Manhattan based patients in the privacy of their own home or office.
I strive to go above and beyond for all my patients, working closely with them to treat both their symptoms AND the root cause of their condition. Patient education is extremely important to me, so I always take the time to make sure my patients understand their diagnosis and the reasons behind the treatments I provide. I also make sure to connect with patient’s doctors and trainers, reinforcing continuity of care between their providers.
I have vast experience treating musculoskeletal injuries, orthopedic conditions, acute and chronic pain, pre/post surgical rehabilitation, pregnancy/postpartum rehab, and sports related injuries in adults of all ages, across all body parts. I also specialize in working with runners on rehabilitating running injuries and pain, preventing future injuries, building runner specific strength, and optimizing running form!
I am passionate about all things wellness and fitness and love trying new fitness tech and trends. In my free time you can find me spending time with my family (I have two young sons), running in Prospect Park, taking a Pilates class, or cooking up new recipes.
Dr. Weis is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association and is licensed in both NY and NJ.
